Emails deleted in Outlook for MAC keep being downloaded from server

I am using Microsoft 365 on a Mac running OS Monterey 12.1.  When I go through my Comcast emails in Outlook and delete certain ones, no sooner have I deleted them when they are downloaded again.  This problem has been going on a while but has recently gotten worse.  Sometimes I have to delete an email 3-4 times.  I get a lot of worthless emails so this has become very time consuming.  I asked Microsoft about this but they weren't any help.  Does anyone have any ideas?

@Dune21 It sounds as though you're only deleting email from Outlook and not from the Comcast servers.  Check your settings in Outlook.

@Again My email accounts are IMAP.  I can't find any setting in Outlook that says delete or leave on server.  I remember this from earlier versions of Outlook but can't find that setting in the current Mac version.  I am not using the newest version of Outlook because on the Mac it doesn't support IMAP accounts.

@Dune21
Good afternoon,

Unfortunately, Comcast does not troubleshoot, manage, or code Outlook and/or Mac. You may be better suited in creating a post on their respective forums to seek answers, but the issue you are experiencing is one with your email client. If an email is deleted from our server (xfinity.com) then it will reflect accordingly in any email client regardless of manufacturer.
