You're not stupid - Yahoo! Mail is a different "flavor" of email, meaning it's a lot different from Xfinity Connect.

Here's some links that might help you:

You can find information on Yahoo's mail servers here:
Let us know if that helps or not.

Have you transitioned your email to Yahoo! Mail?  Did you get the "invite" to do so?  Have you tried signing in to your @comcast.net email at https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite?  If you can sign in there, your email hasn't moved to Yahoo.

If i go to the app i still can sign in on my phone  but no i dont think i ever got anything from yahoo.  im stuck in the middle as it was working with outlook classic then it wasnt.  I shouldnt have to go to some other app or website to get the mail i have had with outlook for decades.  its not as if MS outlook is a shady program no one has ever heard of.

thanks in advance

Thank you for letting us know that you can still sign in on your phone but not in Outlook classic @danegeld. Have you tried removing and re‑adding the account in Outlook using the Yahoo IMAP/SMTP settings? If that doesn’t work, please let us know — we’re happy to continue troubleshooting.

@danegeld stated they haven't moved their email to Yahoo yet.

You don't need to go to Yahoo for your settings.

What are the error message[s] you're getting in Outlook Classic?
