Getting error -

The provided login data to access mail server imap.comcast.net seem to be wrong. Please correct them. Tried resetting password and that did not work. This is on my secondary account.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues accessing your secondary email account, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

 

The primary resource for these particular settings can be found on our website at https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/update-your-xfinity-email-settings. Can you tell me a little more about what login data was incorrect?

I can't reset my password.  I get this message when i try.  You can reset your password by connecting to your home WiFi network and visiting xfinity.com/password. If you still need help, give us a call at 1-800-XFINITY.  All they did was try to sell me protection stuff.  Not helpful.

Thank you for circling back @a_rizzuto. I understand you have two email accounts, so I want to ensure we're on the same page. This is the error you get when attempting to reset the password for your secondary account. Is that correct? Have you run into any similar issues with your other profile, and have you tried again while on the home network?

Are you signed in with your primary ID?

To find your Primary user ID, use the Lookup Tool: https://idm.xfinity.com/myaccount/lookup
 
Just enter the requested information and you will see a listing of all the user ID's on your account, one of which will be the Primary ID.

@XfinityVianney​  Yes this is when trying to log into secondary account.  Also this error pops up "The provided login data to access mail server imap.comcast.net seem to be wrong. Please correct them."  I did not change anything.  I am doing this from home.

@a_rizzuto Got it, thank you for the update. Can you please confirm the program you're using for the email set-up? For example, are you using Outlook 2013, 2010, or Outlook 365?

I mostly use the Xfinity email.  I do also have it on my Iphone.  I'm not sure what program that uses.
