Email usage

My email usage is approaching 75%.  I would like to save all the emails to an external hard drive and then delete everything to get the usage down.  I have Outlook on my PC.  But it seems like the Comcast email and Outlook are linked.  Anytime I delete something in Outlook it also gets deleted in Comcast, and vice versa.  How can I save the Comcast emails?

Do you have your Xfinity email signed in on your Outlook account?

As far as I know I don't have an Outlook account.  The Outlook software is installed on my PC.

Check your Outlook and see what email is connected if any. You are doing the correct thing by downloading your emails to a hard drive but your Comcast email has to be somehow connected to your outlook in order to be getting deleted.

@Silver_Surfer, Xfinity Emails are now being transferred over to Yahoo. [Xfinity Email move to Yahoo Mail](https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/yahoo-email-migration-overview) If the two emails are connected, you won't be able to make an action on one without the action happening on another. Does that make sense?

@Silver_Surfer

Are you using POP3 or IMAP in Outlook?

Thank you so much for taking the time to share those details with us @Silver_Surfer! Have you attempted to follow the steps here to download the email content from the comcast.net email? Please let us know if that helps.

Can you tell me how to get to the "Export Portal"?

You can access that here and then sign-in using your comcast.net email.

Here's what happened when I  tried accessing the export portal:

You have been not able to log into Xfinity Email Data Transfer Tool

An external authentication error has happened. Please, try to sign in again.
