email switch in Outlook

Greetings, I'm one of these folks who had Comcast for many years, then moved to a city it is not offered. However, I have kept my comcast.net email addresses for the past five years and continued to view them them in Outlook. I migrated my main email address from Xfinity to Yahoo as instructed, but when I tried to follow the instructions to update the settings in Outlook, I have not had any luck. I am receiving emails at the Yahoo web site (so I know it transferred), but no longer via Outlook. I need (preferably) step by step help because the instructions I've seen are not exactly what I'm seeing in my version of Outlook. As an aside, it has been pure [Edited: "Language"] the past five years trying to get support from Xfinity via phone without an account number or a phone number associated with a non-existent account. It's impossible to ever get to a live body. By the way, I have not migrated my second comcast email over to Yahoo yet, because it still works in Outlook and I use it all the time. Until I figure out the first one, it makes no sense.

Anyone out there, help? When I follow the instructions on the Xfinity and Yahoo web sites on how to update Outlook when changing from Comcast to Yahoo Mail (while keeping the comcast.net email address), whether it is by going to Outlook, File, Add Account route (it just tells me I have already added it, and let's me go no further) or going to Outlook, File, Account Settings, Repair, then adding the new IMAP and SMTP server info, it says We couldn't logon to the incoming IMAP server. Please check your email and password and try again. It's always confusing when you are asked for a password in Outlook. Is that the password at Xfinity or Yahoo Mail associated with the email account, or an Outlook password that I may have established years ago? Either way, I tried to use whatever was already in the system, the old Xfinity password or the new Yahoo Mail password and none of them worked.

I have checked their FAQs and followed their instructions, but nothing has worked. When I click on Contact Us in Yahoo Mail, it states: Support from a Yahoo specialist is not available. Please search our help articles for assistance. If you have a product subscription that includes technical support, check that you've entered or are signed in with the Yahoo ID you subscribe with.

Just to confirm, at this time, you still have not officially migrated the email over, correct? Once you do is when additional information will be sent along regarding the change.

Yes, I have officially migrated one of my email addresses (the main one) over to Yahoo Mail. I have not migrated the second one yet because I want to make sure I can access the first one in Outlook before I do so.

You can find information on Yahoo's mail servers here:
Are these the servers you have?

When when asked to enter your email address or username in Outlook, be sure to use your complete email address ending in "@comcast.net".

Also you may need to generate an App Password: see https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-yahoo-mail/generate-password-sln15241.html.

It is a pity that Comcast/Xfinity hasn't bothered created a detailed walkthrough of the process.
