email support

I have had a comcast.net email account for over 30 years. I am unable to log into my email account. I am getting a connection time out error. Now I am using an old laptop to access my email, but today it completely kicked me out and I got a message saying it cannot reach the server.

Thanks for posting on our community forums, user_q3dhl8. I'm sorry to hear about your email access, and I would like to help. Are you using our Xfinity Website to access the email or a third-party email client? Have you tried clearing the cache and cookies, using multiple browsers, or using an incognito page to see if that helps?

@user_q3dhl8, If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. To send a Direct Message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, and then type or select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a direct message.

@user_q3dhl8

Could you answer @XfinityChelsea's questions, please, so here in the public forum we can see what you have tried?

Different browsers?  If so, which ones?

Cleared your cache and cookies, and then signed out, closed down your browser[s], and restarted a new session?

Thanks!

I've tried everything. Restarted computer, tried three different browsers, incognito. On call with xfinity, they show packet is not received on their end. They feel it might be Windows firewall or other setting on my computer that is preventing transaction.

Issue resolved. My ethernet driver needed to be updated. When searching for updates, it said it was up to date, but I unintalled and then reinstalled and it installed an update.
