Email status

I no longer have Xfinity as my tv/Internet provider.  However, my email that I've had for 20+ years, @comcast.net still seems to be attached to Xfinity.  I have attached it to a Yahoo account as directed by the website. Is there anything else I need to do to make sure this email account stays active?

I would say if you're using a third party app to get your email, remember to log in to the yahoo website periodically just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for reaching out to us if you got the notification to transition your Comcast e-mail to Xfinity all you need to do is follow those instructions to  migrate your Comcast e-mail to Yahoo.

What will happen if one does not do the 'transition'? After all Comcast is not going awY anytime soon?

According to the information that has been posted by Xfinity and also at Yahoo-----------if you don't want to do the transition to Yahoo, then you need to just find some other email provider.  You can export your Comcast email information first if you want to.  If you do nothing else, at some point your Comcast email will simply stop working.  See the link from Yahoo here:

Scroll down about halfway and you will see "What if I don't want my Comcast.net address to move to Yahoo Mail?"
