Email Sort Option Disappeared

I just sorted my email by Sender so I can easily move a bunch of emails to a folder, and now I want to revert to sort by date.  However, my sort function is gone and replaced by "View."  Where is my Sort menu?

Welcome to Xfinity Forums @Alan_T0235. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. I understand wanting to organize your email. Nothing is worse than spending a lot of time looking for an important email and hoping you didn't lose it. I am sure we will get to the bottom of this. 

 

First, I just want to confirm you are using your Comcast email and not a third party provider such as Outlook or Gmail. What email are you using and what browser/device do you view your email on?

 

Secondly, do you have one email clicked open. If you have an email open on the upper right side you will see "view". This will give you the different options to view that specific email (horizontal, vertical, landscape). In order to use the "Sort" function you will want to unclick any specific email that might be open. 

 

Lastly, I recommend clearing your cache and cookies on the browser you are using.

@XfinityAnna​ When I log into email at Xfinity.com from my iPhone 13 Pro using the Safari or Chrome browser, I do not see a sort option. At the top, I only see “< Folders”, “Inbox”, and “Edit”.  On my iPad Pro at the top, I see “sort” with a pull down that allows me to choose.  Why can’t I see this on my iPhone?

I want to sort my inbox from oldest to newest back and forth. Where is the Sort command ?

@user_9c7094​ Are you using Xfinity Connect webmail or a third party email program?  Are you using a computer or some other device?

very frustrating not to be able to sort my xfinity email in the last month...Plus some emails are not reaching me but pop up after the event is over...think I will have to use gmail

Thanks for letting us know about the missing sort option, and the missing emails. Are you using our Connect webmail, or a third party program?
