Email sent to team members with Comcast.net addresses blocked by "policy"

Any suggestions on how to get Comcast to allow our hockey league domain to communicate with players? Every message we send to a Comcast.net account is rejected.

Thanks.

Thanks for providing the exact error message. The 552 5.2.0 Prohibited by policy response indicates the messages are being rejected by the Comcast.net mail system based on an inbound email policy rather than an issue with an individual player’s mailbox.

Since this is happening to every Comcast.net recipient, I’d recommend having whoever manages your hockey league’s domain/email service check the sending domain and mail server configuration, particularly SPF/DKIM/DMARC authentication, reverse DNS/PTR configuration, and the reputation of the outbound sending IP.

If those items are all configured correctly, the next step would be to submit the sending information to our Customer Security Assurance team for review. Make sure to retain a recent full bounce message, including the 552 5.2.0 Prohibited by policy response, because those details can help identify the block.

This also explains why Gmail is displaying the error even though the affected recipients have Comcast.net addresses: Gmail is reporting the rejection it received back from the Comcast mail server.
