Email Send/Receive Error Message
Up until today, my email was working flawlessly.
However, today I am unable to receive new emails and get the following error messages:
Task '[redacted for privacy]@comcast.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC1A) : 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.'
On a second email address:
Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for [redacted for privacy]@comcast.net.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for [redacted for privacy]@comcast.net. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Please note that I have made no changes, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Thanks.

Happening today. Please stop implying that this is the customer's fault, e.g., "check your settings," etc. It's YOUR fault, not ours! Fix it!!!

Yes, starting yesterday I have been having some of the same issue again. Starting yesterday when attempting to retrieve mail via Outlook this first try results in the 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.' error. Strangely, so far, a second attempt within a couple of minutes, even when done to a different email account works.
On my phone, it often isn't updating automatically and when I manually tell it to refresh it either gives me a "Server Unavailable" error or appears to complete but no emails appear and the last update time doesn't change. Making it try a second time, so far, results in it taking more than 3 minutes to complete the refresh, but it does download any new emails.
Clearly there is some kind of instability on the server side with its security configuration settings.
