email rule to delete emails older than 3 weeks

I would like to create a rule that will automatically delete emails in one particular folder older than 3 weeks.

As near as I can tell, there is no way to do what you are describing in the webmail interface.  You would need to periodically just go into that folder and delete the older messages.

Good afternoon,

There isn't a way to create a deletion schedule via our servers, but you can use a third party email client like Outlook, Thunderbird, etc. and set up an automatic deletion schedule to do what you're asking for.

Hi @sgtjdc and thanks for reaching out!

Sure, we'd be happy with your email rule. Are you using a mail forwarding service to check your email or do you only use Xfinity's website or email?

@XfinityRenee  I use Outlook Desktop (Microsoft 365 Apps for Business) where I have all my different emails including @comcast.net. I looked at the rules in Outlook and Comcast and could not find "Delete after a certain period" . I found one problem with Comcast in Outlook. If I indicate Junk / Block Sender, it does not work, it works with other email servers.  If I want to send those emails to trash I have to specifically write a rule in Comcast to stop those emails.

Do you only use outlook on your computer or do you also use a different version on a device (smartphone or tablet)? Also, do you have one Xfinity username you are using for email or more than one? @sgtjdc

I no longer work for Comcast.
