Email recovery

My email from an old account that I was not the account holder has been shut down. When the new account was created I asked to have the email address moved to the new account, however I was told as long as I still used it, it would never be shut down. This account was my main account used for everything including backups for other accounts. How can I get my email address back?

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here today. I am sorry to hear you lost access to the email address, If the address was closed and is not currently in use by another account you can follow the instructions found here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/adding-new-user-names-or-email-addresses for adding a new user and use the previous ID as the ID for the new user profile. Please let me know if you have any trouble with the process.

This did not work it is saying my phone number is already being used on a different ID. Which is true.  I tried changing my existing email to the email I lost and it is saying username already exists but if I try to log in with the username/email address it says it doesn’t exist. Please help as all my bills and accounts are attached to the old email that has been lost.

@pjp3481 How long has it been since you've accessed that email account? If you don’t log in to your Xfinity Email account(s) at least once every 12 months, we’ll designate it as inactive and delete it along with all the contents — including emails, draft emails, and address book entries. Before we delete your email account, however, we’ll notify you. If you logged in to the Xfinity Email website within 90 days prior to disconnecting your service, you can still use your Xfinity Email address, subject to the terms available at xfinity.com/terms/web.

I accessed it everyday until it was disabled this past Saturday. It was always accessed by the mail app on my iPhone. I was not notified it would be deleted. How would I have been notified?

Thank you, @pjp3481 I do apologize for the inconvenience, I have everything associated with my email address so I definitley understand your concerns but unfortunately, we have no way of retrieving your previous email address once it gets disconnected for non-usage.-Richard

The account was used daily so this was not a non usage disconnection. Can you at least tell me how long that email address will sit in limbo before I can attach it to my current Comcast account. I’m actually more upset that I discussed this with Comcast when I moved and the new account was established and was told this would not happen.
