Email received on iPhone and iPad displays 'loading'

Both my iPhone 14 and iPad (10th generation) display 'loading' with a spinning wheel when I open email.  This occurs when connected to WiFi or Verizon.

Hello @jr205, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum, and we would be happy to help. I just have a couple questions to better understand your concern. Is it a Comcast email or a thirdparty email? Are you using imail or the Xfinity website?

Comcast email accessed using the native iPhone/iPad mail app. The connection is imap.

@XfinityChelseaB​  this only occurs on our iPhone and iPad.  When I say we, my wife’s Apple devices have the same issue.

Email retrieval and display is instantaneous  on  both the online portal (web) and using Outlook on the desktop or laptop.
