Email not working on iPad

I suddenly cannot get email on my iPad or iPhone.  I get an error message saying i need to put in my user name and password.  I know the user name and pw I enter are right as they work on the Xfinity website. Help please!

Hello there @user_59k3uq please be positive that website is displaying the same username that you are entering on your tablet before troubleshooting. Just one last double check before troubleshooting please.
