EMAIL not Syncing on any device - Customer Support is not existent for email. No communication from Xfinity on the widespread problem

Tested both desktop Outlook app and Samsung email app.  Also installed Outlook app on cell and not able to connect to Comcast IMAP server.

This problem has been happening since yesterday.  Email has not synced since yesterday. Error message stating it cannot connect to server.

We have been customer for over 15 years.  This is the 1st time we have had this problem. And it appears that other Comcast customers are having this problem as well.

@Xfinity - What is going on here? I am having the same issue on my iPhone.  I don't see changes on my phone that I make when logged on through my PC and vice versa.  Any updates on how to resolve this?  I see this thread started 2 months ago with almost 3,000 views.

Hey there, @user_6dwn57! I am sorry to hear about your experience with the email access. Have you attempted to delete the email from the iPhone and adding it back? Please let us know if that resolves the issue.

1. Go to Settings  > Mail > Accounts.

2. Tap the email account you want to remove from your iPhone, then tap Sign Out or Delete Account.

You then will need to add it back following these steps:

Go to Settings  > Mail.

Tap Accounts, then tap Add Account.

Tap the email service you want to use—for example, iCloud or Microsoft Exchange—then enter your email account information.

If your email service isn’t listed, tap Other, tap Add Mail Account, then enter your email account information.

Just spent hours on the phone with Xfinity and first call told that someone would call me back.  No return call.  Next day, 2nd call.  On phone for over 1 hour and got hung up on.  Grrrr.

I found this conversation and as suspected, there is an issue b/c of the hack.  Why don't the phone people know about that and say so? I could have saved hours of talking/testing with them.

I brought my comcast email in through my gmail account to I can monitor it and access it on my phone.  It's not ideal, but better than logging into my comcast email via a browser.

Does anyone know how to fix this permanently so I can reset my Samsung Galaxy to receive my Comcast emails?

I had this problem a couple of months ago and was able to "fix" it by deleting my account and re-adding it on my Android phone.  The problem happened again yesterday (1.9.2024), and I "fixed" it again using the same method.

It happened again this afternoon (1.10.2024)!!!!!

Can one of the Xfinity employee's comment if this issue was ever fixed on their end, or do I need to delete my account every day?

Thanks,

John

Hello @user_hmoiyx. Please reinstall the outlook application and sign in with your email once again. This should correct the issue.

Has this been fixed yet? I am having the same issue - the Comcast email on my phone doesn't sync with the email on my PC. Security and third-party access are checked. Thank you!

@user_at4uk7 Hello! Can you please try going to (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email) and scroll to where you see 'Email setup' click on the email program you use and follow the steps from there. We would also recommend using IMAP settings since that is the best way to make sure your email is synced on multiple devices.

This resolution didn’t work with the sync issues that started yesterday, 4/23/24. After deleting and re-adding the email accounts, it would only sync when off the network using my cell phone data plan. I get the generic response from customer service that the engineers are aware of the issue and working on it. For my outlook application on my desktop, I have to use my cell phone hotspot to sync the mail there.
