email missing banner/color icon

I notice that Xfinity revamped their email.  In the past I was able to associate emails with selected colors by using the banner icon at the top.  I would then sort by color and have my priority (red) emails at the top.  However, this icon is no longer available and I no longer see any color codes next to my emails.   Wished I had been warned that this change was going to take place.  Is the feature still available but hard to find?

You can mark an individual email with a color by clicking on the pennant icon in the toolbar on the Inbox page.   Its the one to the left of the printer icon--------

Then you can use the "Sort by" link at the top of the message list to display emails with a color selected.

Hi there, @user_c010b7, and @paradise.manager. I like to sort my emails by color as well. It really helps to quickly identify what I need! Did the awesome steps that @Latoque and @Again provide resolve the problem and allow you to mark your emails with a banner color?

I have a similar problem but while the pennant icon shows in the toolbar and in individual emails, and when I click the pennant, the color drop-down box comes up and I can choose the color I want, and the box closes, but the icon remains black.

While the pennant icon remains black, do you see the right color on that particular email?  I just tried it using red, and I see the red pennant after the email subject?
