E-mail migration

I never received an e-mail from Comcast notifying me to make this change.  I did receive an e-mail in August 2025 about it that said I would get an e-mail in 30 days that I never received.

Yesterday I was pushed, but the system to make this migration, and I did so.  I can access my e-mail on the yahoo platform.

I feel like I am being held captive.  Ads coming into my in box, that in order to delete them I have to click on the link.  Ads popping up on the side while I am trying to read my e-mail, very distracting.  OH, I can pay $5/month now, to eliminate the ads I am being forced to watch.

Not a good experience.  Hotmail or gmail, here I come.  Sad companies are forcing you to leave or pay them.  Feels like I am being extorted.  Now I have to go through the process of changing my e-mail account on all the sites I have it saved on.  Don't need the headache, but oh well!

Yes, free or not free are the usual options.  And when the product is free, you are the product.

An option to tame an ad-laden thing like yahoo mail is to use an email client like Thunderbird.  Not only does it avoid web ads, but your user interface stays the same even when the server/provider is changed.
