Email migration from Comcast email to Yahoo

The switch to Yahoo email was described as an upgrade.  That convinced me that at a minimum, I would have the same services that Comcast had provided.  I have since discovered that, although Comcast provided email forwarding as part of the service, Yahoo will charge $5.99 per month for it.  What a ripoff, and fraud on your customers.  Had I been aware of the bait and switch, I never would have made the transfer.  Please do something for your long time customers that is helpful, not harmful.

Good morning user_qj2xj0. I hope that you are enjoying your Thursday so far. I'm sorry to read that setting up email forwarding is a paid service with yahoo. I migrated my email addresses a few months back, but I haven't taken the time to manage settings like that. With yahoo offering their mail app, I haven't needed to forward to another address to easily access my email. What email address are you forwarding to? Instead of forwarding you may be able to utilize that account as a email client. The settings for email clients are here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-yahoo-mail/SLN36803.html

Thank you for your response.  In the past, I have always been able to see my personal email on my work computer.  The forwarding provided by Comcast made that very easy.  The "upgrade" to Yahoo has now made what was an included service from Comcast an extra pay item.. Some upgrade, huh?

user_qj2xj0 I certainly understand where you are coming from. When any change impacts how I typically use a service it can be frustrating, and for it to be called an upgrade I would laugh at it as well. It's like the new an improved laundry detergent that's simply in a new bottle. I'm sorry that this migration is not working out in your best interest. I want to try to figure out anything I can to make sure you are still able to receive the emails as you like on your work computer.

What email system are you using with your work computer? If it's an email client like Outlook, you can set up your personal email address to pull into the client so that you can easily view your emails while at work without needing to visit another website. It would take a few steps, but we may be able to fix this so that you can still access your emails easily without paying for an upgraded service with yahoo.
