email in my sent folder is being automatically deleted

My sent emails are being deleted after about a week.  I was able to go back and recover all lost but want to change the settings (I cannot find where) so they aren't deleted.  I use Iphone, tablet and computer for emails but this is not something that changed (with no problem before.  Can anyone help me?

Hello, @user_945ee2! Thanks for posting on our Community Forums. We appreciate the opportunity to help with your email concerns. To confirm, are you using a third-party email client (Outlook, Apple mail) to access your email or our Xfinity Website?

@XfinityDilary​ I do not use a third-party email client.  I have an app set up for xfinity.  However, I also access from my IPhone - not sure that might be a 3rd party.

Thank you for clarifying, @user_945ee2. Our email deletion settings program Xfinity Email to remove old messages from your Spam and Trash folders automatically.

These settings apply to the date of the email; the settings are listed below.

  • Spam: Seven days
    • Only flagged Spam will be deleted after seven days
  • Trash: 14 days

Note: Email deletion settings cannot be customized, and the default settings above cannot be edited. Inbox and Sent messages will not be removed automatically.

iPhone uses Apple Mail, which is 3rd party. The link below should assist in getting you to the email settings.
