Email filtering
I have read over and over multiple people having the same issue and quite frankly I don't want to call customer service because that is a joke with all the outsourcing. My question is simple. Why is xfinity email filtering not working? I created a simple rule that says if you have this in the subject line then delete or block the email. Why is this such a problem? I have the rule created multiple times and still the subject line has this in these spam emails and still make it through to my inbox. Xfinity really needs to allow better filtering rules. You cannot even block a domain. That is sad. I use my Xfinity email accounts for personal and business use. Not for Social media or anything like that. I dont share the address with anyone nor post it out on the web. I kow some of my stupid vendors and companies I do business with are selling info. It is what it is but still why can Xfinity not allow a filter to block an entire domiain from sending emails? This is a sad support model.

We might be able to help but we'd need to see the problematic filter.

Its also sad that Xfinity doesnt allow a filter block at the domain level. This is a simple filter that web host companies offer all the time. How is it a huge ISP cannot offer this filter?

I have tried that multiple times. They are sending me spam with the subject line being my name without spaces. I added the filter multiple times and STILL I get spammed all day long. I have set rules with this subject line to block emails, filter and send them to trash and also error them out. None of them are working.

I just tried using a filter using a word in the subject line and told it to send it to the Spam folder and it worked just fine for me. After you write the filter make sure you hit the "Save" button at the bottom, then sign out of the account and back in again to get the filter to "take".

A while back I received a number of spam emails from one domain and when setting up the filter for them I ended up using the domain without the @ sign in Sender/From Contains and had it discarded. I never saw another spam mail from them again.

In the filter are you using Subject "Contains"? Have you tried "Matches" or "Is exactly"?
