email bombing

Yesterday afternoon my wife and I were bombed by literally hundreds of bogus emails within a 1/2 hour period Each had a different user name along with a message of gibberish.  Since we use different email sysrems, hotmail and aol, the commonality is our Xfinity service.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Comcast only gives you the connection.  If you have each other in your contacts list chances are you were hacked, in which case you should change your aol and hotmail passwords and/or set up 2 factor authentication.  Check to see if any of your contacts were "bombed", too.

Look for fraudulant purchases. Search the emails for "purchase" "order confirmation" "order shipped" etc.
