When trying to access your Xfinity email from your laptop, are you getting an error message? Did you recently change your Xfinity email password? If so, you will need to update the password in your settings for the Mac mail app.

Verify iCloud Mail settings:
In the Mail app on your Mac, go to Mail > Settings > Accounts and select your iCloud account.
Make sure the account is enabled and the status is online.
