Why isn't creating a Xfinity email account available to new customers?

Because on June 3rd of this year, Comcast  adopted a policy of no longer providing an email account as part of an internet service subscription.  See here for specifics-------------------

user_8hyens Thank you so much for your post! That is a great question due to low usage, we have turned off the ability for new customers to create an Xfinity Email. You can still have an Xfinity ID, but email is no longer available for new customers.
