email access fails

I have an Xfininty email account (as a past customer) and no longer use Xfinity services since I moved.  This week starting December 8, 2025 I cannot access my Xfinity email using the mail app on my Apple MacBook and iPhone.  I receive multiple error messages including "server unreachable" and online status errors.  I am able to access my email via the Xfinity.com website.  I deleted my Xfinity account from my computer and when I try to add it back I receive an error about invalid username and password even though they work on the website.  I also tried signing in using the Xfinity Connect app and was unsuccessful.  During a phone call to Xfinity support I was told Xfininty recently did an update and since I have no other services my email was no longer active.  I find this hard to believe since it is accessible via the internet website.  Does Xfinnity no longer support use of their email using Apple products, the Apple mail app and Xfinity Connect?

Hi there, @user_2d7ba5! We are happy to further help with your email and getting it working with Apple Mail again. I am glad that you were able to view it on our website. We are transitioning emails now and through 2026 as shown here, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/yahoo-email-migration-overview. You will be notified when it is time to do that.
