elderly father can't access email - can I change where his authorization code goes?

My father's email is now under my account. He recently asked me to reset his password, which I did, but he cannot get in now because he doesn't get the multifactor auth code.

Is he getting it and doesn't realize it? Possibly. But I am too far away to know.

Can I reset where the code goes so at least he'll know which device to check?

With thanks,

user_9k7l57 Thank you so much for reaching out for help with the two-factor authentication for your father's email. You can update where the code goes in the user profile for his Xfinity ID. The preferred option would be where it would default to send the code. If there is no preferred option in the profile, it would depend on what is selected when logging in on where the code goes on the user side. It is not recommended, but it can also be turned off if needed in the user's profile.
