Domain seems blocked

I am no longer receiving any emails from my doctor or their patient portal to my comcast.net address.

Anything to Comcast.net address does not go through. As a test I gave them a gmail address and the email immediately was received.

The Comcast address they are sending to does not have any spam filter turned on so that is not the issue.

The addresses are:

How could it be my email setting when all mail is received from anyone except this sender?

Email setting have been the same for about 25 years without any issues.

It is just this one sender not all email.

I even placed a forward on gmail to forward to Comcast address thinking that should work.

The email is received in gmail but never arrives to my comcast address.

Tested forwarding from other senders and they were received on gmail and comcast.

It is just this one sender which makes me think Comcast is blocking.

Good Morning, @68Chevelle396 I'm very sorry for the trouble you are experiencing getting emails from your Dr's office. I understand that the issue is only impacting your Dr's emails. Do you know if your Dr's office is getting any type of error message when they go to send you the email?-Richard

Okay thanks for confirming. Can you let me know if you’re checking your comcast.net email directly from the Xfinity Connect portal, or are you checking through a third-party client such as Apple mail?

Checking through the site or client neither works to receive on Comcast address.

But if I have them email the same email to gmail it comes through without issue.

Okay I appreciate you checking. If emails from only that specific address are not being received by your Comcast email, it may be due to anti-spam measures blocking the sender's email provider. The sender should receive an error message with a link to request removal if this is the case. Does your Gmail receive any unsent error messages after trying to forward the message from your doctor to the comcast.net email?

OK now if I forward from gmail the email is coming to my comcast address but if they try to email directly to comcast address then nothing arrives.

Good Morning, @68Chevelle396 The key difference is that when you forward an email from Gmail, it is being sent to Comcast from a reputable Google mail server, so it is delivered normally. When the sender emails your Comcast address directly, the message comes from their mail server, which Comcast's system may be flagging as spam. If your filters appear to be correct, the problem is likely on the sender's end. Ask the sender to

  • Check for a bounce-back message: If Comcast's server rejected their email, they would have received a bounce-back message with an error code.
  • Contact their email provider: They can provide the bounce-back code to their provider, who can then request that Comcast remove their mail server from the blocklist. Comcast provides a block removal request form at postmaster.comcast.net.
