deleted sent items

In the process of installing the new Outlook (which I didn't really want to do, but it happened automatically while restarting my desktop) all my sent items disappeared. They are also gone from the webmail.  I didn't ask for this, and I am hoping they can be restored.  I'm at less than 50% capacity, and have been a Comcast user for many years.  I don't want to lose all those sent items, is there a way they can be restored?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

When you say you installed the new Outlook, are you meaning that Outlook was updated or did you have to actually install from ground up a brand new Outlook, as though it were "out of the box" so to speak?  Do you see all of the email in the Inbox that should be there, including new email?

At this point I can't help you much because I haven't seen Outlook since the 2007 version.  Outlook used to have a restore function, but I'm not sure that would help much for the Sent folder, especially if you don't see it at connect.xfinity.com.  And I don't know why an update would delete your Sent folder on both Outlook and webmail.  You might want to check your settings now to make sure you keep emails on the server so that you have them both on your Outlook and on webmail.  You can try calling Customer Security Assurance to see if they can get it back.  You may have to ask for tier 2 there.

Thanks for your reply!  I mean that Outlook was updated. I was already using the former Outlook.  All the email was transferred, except it downloaded over 5000 emails into my inbox, when only 185 were actually present in my Outlook inbox prior to the update.

So my inbox seems to be intact, although now overloaded.  But my sent items have only 2 random emails from 2021, and 2 emails that I sent yesterday.

Was it able to be fixed so your Sent mails are back?
