deactivate comcast email

I don't want to use Comcast email any longer. Can I delete it, or otherwise deactivate it so that any incoming emails are rejected?

The only way to deactivate it is to not use it.

I read that. I just didn’t want to accumulate a year’s worth of junk emails. I use a different email address for everything else.

The simplest way I can think of to do this is by loading https://connect.xfinity.com, navigating to (gear icon) / Email Settings / Mail / Advanced / Email Safe list. Then check the "Use email safe list" box, click "Add an email address", enter a non-working email address in the entry space (ex: "example.net@example.net"), and then click Add.

Any email sent to your address will be silently tossed away.
