DATA OVERCHARGE

Hello, 

I have just been advised by XFINITY that I will be getting a charge for data usage in the amount of $40 or more. Unfortunately, I was not aware that my data on my iPhone 16 was actually turned on. It is always off aside from an emergency.


Can anything be done to eliminate this charge In view with the fact that I never intentionally turned it on, and I have no idea why it was in use. 

please advise. Thank you for your consideration.
