completely locked out of email after yahoo migration fails with "something went wrong"

After reading the notice and FAQ about the migration, I decided to go for it. Clicking the link in the Comcast email took me to login.yahoo.com, where I entered my comcast.net email address. This redirects to login.xfinity.com, which tells me I am already signed in:

Clicking "Continue" goes to a Comcast-hosted "Yahoo Migration Notice Page". Clicking "Continue" there returns to login.yahoo.com, where I am prompted to secure my account by changing my password.

Clicking the "Yes, secure my account" button takes me to a page to enter a new password, and after doing so and clicking Continue, I get the message:

"Uh oh, looks like something went wrong. Please try again later."

So, I did try again the next day without success. Since this was all on my iPhone, I tried from Firefox on my mac, and from Edge on my PC, all yielding the same message.

Attempting to log in to xfinity email just gives me a message "Your Comcast.net email account is accessible at Yahoo Mail":

As of now, I am completely unable to access my email account. Any Ideas?

Thank you!

Success, at last—as a last attempt, I downloaded the Yahoo mail app on my phone and tried to log in with my Comcast credentials. Everything went as above, but in the app it accepted my new password and I am back into my mail : )

Perhaps this tidbit may help someone else who has this issue.

@uncledark

At mail.yahoo.com are you logging in - or trying to log in - with your comcast.net credentials?

Thanks for your reply! Yes, pretty much as in the screenshots above:

1. at mail.yahoo.com, enter my comcast.com email address

2. it redirects to xfinity.com, where I enter my Comcast password

3. I acknowledge the "migration notice"

4. it redirects back to yahoo, and the "secure your account" page, and then prompts to create a new password

5. I get the "Uh oh, looks like something went wrong. Please try again later."

Tried again just now and no luck. :(

In that last image where you have entered your password and then it brings up the image that says, "Uh oh..." did you try to put your password in there as well?  I can't really tell from the image.

BUT at least you can get your email on your phone.
