Comcast/Xfinity Email Filters Still Not Rejecting Emails!

I have various email filters enabled to "reject" emails and have a message sent to the sender with a reason why these emails have been rejected.  I have a variety of filters enabled set to "matches" and "exact" yet these email addresses that I have filers set for are still allowed in my inbox.  What gives and why aren't these filters properly blocking emails like I am hoping they will?

... I have a variety of filters enabled set to "matches" and "exact" ...

"Matches" and "Is exactly" are best avoided. "Contains" produces more consistent results.

@BruceW Question, I considered using "Contains" but was worried that it would block all incoming emails from say Gmail.  Would I then leave @gmail.com out?

Say, I wanted to block " [Edited: "Personal Information"]"

Presently I have [Edited: "Personal Information"] input for both "matches" and "is exactly."

I can provide a screenshot if that would help.

@BlaineBug Thank you for contacting us here at the Xfinity Community Forums regarding the correct functioning of these email filters and automatic responses. When you are referring to the filters enabled, is this through Xfinity webmail itself at www.xfinity.com following the steps detailed here
or are you utilizing a third-party mail client like Apple Mail, Outlook, etc?

Could you provide some examples of how you are setting these filters?

@XfinityShaina Yes, I am using a browser only for these settings.  I don't use any third party mail clients except on my mobile phone since the Xfinity App for email was discontinued.

@BlaineBug It is possible as @BruceW mentioned that using 'Matches' or 'Exactly' may be too specific of a rule or filter to catch what you are intending. Are you able to try a filter using 'Contains' for whatever the term is you are trying to reject (not including @gmail.com) as they suggested and let us know if you see any improved results?

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityShaina Yes, I have set it up that way for now, using the "contains" filter and using the username of the email addresses without the @gmail.com as suggested.  I'll let you know if any emails slip through, although I won't have an estimate about how long that will take.

PS - What does the "rejection" email look like that the senders receive in response to this filter?

"Contains" worked until several weeks (maybe months) ago on the "To" or the "Envelop" field.

@sflservices As recommended I changed my filter to "Contains" and I haven't received any emails yet that I have filtered out, although that doesn't indicate it's working because it may mean I just have not received any.  There were more than a few annoying "reply-all" colleagues of mine who love to let themselves be known and that's what I was looking to filter out.  They are not always consistent with the frequency of their vanity though.

If I have any problems in the future I'll reply here and let you know.

I have many rules set up using contains that also seem to keep coming through!  One in particular is a rule that discards and rejects email whose subject line contains words that use a backwards 3 as an 'e' .. frustrating
