user_qeixis Thank you for creating a post. Are you accessing your email from the Xfinity website, or through a third-party client like Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.? For clarity, you are able to confirm that you able to successfully send emails, and are only having trouble receiving them?

Thank you for replying. I have tried accessing my email both ways, through a third party and through Xfinity. Confirm: my sent emails are received. Incoming emails do not reliably arrive in my inbox, even when the sender uses reply rather than creating a new email. Sometimes the email arrives 9 hours later. Sometimes not at all. Sometimes immediately. I don’t know if I’ve missed some all together.

Thank you for reaching out, @user_qeixis If you're able to send emails but are not receiving replies, the issue is often related to incoming mail settings rather than the outgoing mail server. Let's review a few common causes:

1. Check Xfinity Connect Webmail

Sign in directly to the Xfinity Connect Portal using a web browser. This helps determine whether the issue is with your email account itself or with a specific device or email application.

2. Review Your Spam and Junk Folders

Legitimate emails can sometimes be filtered into Spam or Junk folders. Be sure to check these folders for any missing messages.

3. Verify Mailbox Storage

If your mailbox has reached its storage limit, new incoming emails may be blocked. Review your mailbox usage and delete any unnecessary messages if needed.

4. Check Email Filters and Rules

Review your email settings to ensure there are no active filters, forwarding rules, or blocked sender settings that could be redirecting or deleting incoming messages.

5. Test Third-Party Email Applications

If emails appear in Xfinity webmail but not in Outlook, Apple Mail, or a mobile email app, the issue may be related to the application's configuration.

Recommended server settings:

  • Incoming (IMAP): imap.comcast.net
  • Port: 993
  • SSL: Enabled
  • Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.comcast.net
  • Port: 587
  • SSL/TLS: Enabled

6. Confirm Third-Party Access Is Enabled

If you use Outlook, Apple Mail, or another email client, verify that third-party email access is enabled in your Xfinity email security settings.

If you've checked these items and are still unable to receive email, please let us know what devices and email applications you're using, and we'll be happy to help with additional troubleshooting.

Thank you for your help. I have just deleted all of my sent copies and it freed up 4G+ of space even though my inbox was only 80% full. Let's hope that works.

Yep...I've not gotten new emails since July.  My boxes are all clear.  I deleted all of the old stuff.  Still no new emails in my inbox.

@user_qeixis that is good to hear you've received one of them back. I'm here tomorrow as well, so if I don't hear back from you first regarding the status of the second email, I'll check back in with you tomorrow.

@XfinityLinda I am having the same problem.  I have been told by others that my emails are bouncing back or they are getting a message that they are delayed in delivery.  Some get through to me, some never do.  I use both Windows 11/Outlook and Iphone/Ipad.  I've checked the website and the missing emails are not showing up there.

Nothing has changed, including my password.  The missing emails are not in spam or trash folders.  Please advise.

In addition, when I sent an email 20 minutes ago from gmail to my 2 separate Comcast email addresses, it has not yet come through.

I am having major issues as well. Some emails send and deliver no problem. Then the same address wil send an email and I don't get it for 24 hours. I've been trying to submit a printing order and the company has not received any of the emails I've sent in the past week until it received today an email I sent 3 days ago asking what was going on. They responded to me at 9am, I got the email at 4pm. This is a MAJOR PROBLEM

The bounced email was returned to my sender with the following message from Comcast. The response from the remote server was:

421 4.2.0 74.125.229.204 Throttled - try again later. Please see https://postmaster.comcast.net/smtp-error-codes.php#RL000001

You are correct. Assuming it is a Gmail problem ignores the others that have bounced back to other domains.
