user_qeixis Thank you for creating a post. Are you accessing your email from the Xfinity website, or through a third-party client like Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.? For clarity, you are able to confirm that you able to successfully send emails, and are only having trouble receiving them?

Thank you for replying. I have tried accessing my email both ways, through a third party and through Xfinity. Confirm: my sent emails are received. Incoming emails do not reliably arrive in my inbox, even when the sender uses reply rather than creating a new email. Sometimes the email arrives 9 hours later. Sometimes not at all. Sometimes immediately. I don’t know if I’ve missed some all together.

Thank you for reaching out, @user_qeixis If you're able to send emails but are not receiving replies, the issue is often related to incoming mail settings rather than the outgoing mail server. Let's review a few common causes:

1. Check Xfinity Connect Webmail

Sign in directly to the Xfinity Connect Portal using a web browser. This helps determine whether the issue is with your email account itself or with a specific device or email application.

2. Review Your Spam and Junk Folders

Legitimate emails can sometimes be filtered into Spam or Junk folders. Be sure to check these folders for any missing messages.

3. Verify Mailbox Storage

If your mailbox has reached its storage limit, new incoming emails may be blocked. Review your mailbox usage and delete any unnecessary messages if needed.

4. Check Email Filters and Rules

Review your email settings to ensure there are no active filters, forwarding rules, or blocked sender settings that could be redirecting or deleting incoming messages.

5. Test Third-Party Email Applications

If emails appear in Xfinity webmail but not in Outlook, Apple Mail, or a mobile email app, the issue may be related to the application's configuration.

Recommended server settings:

  • Incoming (IMAP): imap.comcast.net
  • Port: 993
  • SSL: Enabled
  • Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.comcast.net
  • Port: 587
  • SSL/TLS: Enabled

6. Confirm Third-Party Access Is Enabled

If you use Outlook, Apple Mail, or another email client, verify that third-party email access is enabled in your Xfinity email security settings.

If you've checked these items and are still unable to receive email, please let us know what devices and email applications you're using, and we'll be happy to help with additional troubleshooting.
