Comcast Xfinity Email does not work over Quantum Fiber

I cannot send/receive Comcast email using Mozilla Thunderbird as a client over my Quantum Fiber connection. Except every once in a while it works. The fault clearly lies with Xfinity, and its inability to play nice with Quantum Fiber, as I can send/receive email from accounts with other domains, and I can send/receive comcast email over other devices, like my phone.

Does anyone have any idea for a work around Comcast/Xfinity's (typically) incompetent engineering?

What are your current settings in Thunderbird?

When was the last time you logged in to webmail?

My settings are POP3 settings, and set correctly. I use Thunderbird as a client. I can get my Xfinity email over their webmail. I can download my Xfinity email into Thunderbird over other Wi-Fi connections when I'm out. The issue is Xfinity, in its infinite incompetence, refusing to play nice with Quantum Fiber.

Hello @user_0d3c18 as @Again hinted at this may be something that needs to be fixed in the Thunderbird settings. There is another thread on our forum that fixed this issue by adjusting the ipv6 settings in Thunderbird.

Hi. Thanks but I've tried this and it doesn't help. Since you’re an Xfinity employee, can you please take steps to get your company to work with one of the biggest internet providers in the country? Even if this were the solution, what kind of incompetent email provider fails to work over ipv6 in 2025? With all due respect, it’s absolutely pathetic.
