Comcast SMPT email service

I'm the moderator for a private mailing list.  I developed a program to distribute approved emails to the appropriate list.  Since I have comcast for internet, I am trying to send them out via smtp.comcast.net port 587 using TLS.  What Iam seeing is that the emails that I send seem to disappear. I have done this before without any issues. I even tried to send it to my sender comcast email id, and it went into the spam. So is comcast blocking such email being sent out ? If so, how to get it unblocked?

Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to us regarding your email service issues. We are not blocking the port, it is possible that the email address is on a black list. Have you checked these recently to see if this is so? You can generally check this by doing a general internet search. Are you using your own email server? If so do you happen to have an updated PTR record?
