COMCAST SERVERS BLACKLISTED
For the 2nd time in a month, I get the 0x800CCC92 error in Outlook 2019 that says temporary blacklisted IP when accessing COMCAST.NET email. WHY is this happening? Why can I not talk to any onew at comcast to fix it?

@user_k44ef4 Our team relies on email daily and can understand how frustrating it would be to not be able to access your messages conveniently. Have you checked the third-party email access setting through the web portal? If that is checked, have you updated your Xfinity ID password recently? If no we would advise resetting that password and then updating your credential information in the Outlook application. Here are instructions on how to ensure third-party access is enabled.

The concern is not "accessibility / disability" help related.............. Topic moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

To fix this problem, mostly caused by the dynamic IP my ISP provided which DOES NOT CHANGE very often, that was the source of the blacklist, I had to turn off (unplug) my modem for 12 hours. Then the modem was assigned a new IP and the problem went away. This was a [Edited: Language] solution as all of my streaming devics, Alexa, heat controls, etc all coughed up hairballs. But it showed just how really stupid they all are without an internet connection. Most of them came back on line by themselves but a couple of the Alexa devices needed a little encouragement.

Hi, I have had the same issue as everybody else on this forum. Blacklisted ip address. I fixed it by logging into my router, going to security and then firewall. There were some blocked ports in the firewall settings, namely, Gmail ports 995, and 465, Imap port 993, Pop3 port 110, Pop3s port 995 and SMTP port 25. Once I unchecked these blocked ports, everything works fine now. I am able to download all of my email and I no longer receive the temporary blocked ip address error. Hope this helps

I get this all the time, starting about three years ago. I no longer have a Comact account (New house, new ISP) but when I first called Comcast, they didn't fix it, but swore they'd escalate a ticket. Called back a week later, they said it wasn't their problem, call my ISP. Called NEW ISP and they knew all about it. What they told me is that Comcast blocks all mail traffic from comcast.net email addresses for ISP's other than Comcast (Xfinity). New ISP offered to make a static IP address (for a fee) but that wasn't a permanent fix. Called Comcast back, they said the issue would "fix itself" if I went back to purchasing at least one Comcast product, like their ISP service. That's not possible with the new house, so I snapped. They escalated me to someone, went back through the history, the person started typing like mad and then said "I see an issue and will try to resolve it". Then they hung up. 5 minutes later, everything worked. Since then, the blacklist message comes up every couple of months. I figure they're playing games again. Funny thing is if I turn off WiFi and just use the normal cell signal, everything works just fine. After the email loads, I change back to the (blocked IPS) and do what I want. After a couple days of this, it seem to work itself out.
To me, this appears to be a marketing ploy to get customers to come back...
