Comcast SEND email not working

Randomly a couple of days ago, send email does not work. My GMAIL accounts send fine, but COMCAST mail stopped sending. Receiving works fine. Did not touch any configs, but checking them show all is correct.  smtp.comcast.net port 465 user name and password correct.

My iphone is able to receive and SEND emails successfully, it just stopped SENDING on my macbook suddenly.

Can you try going to Xfinity Connect (https://xfinityconnect.email.comcast.net/resources/static/activate.html) using your macbook and see if you're able to send mail? If you are, the issue would be with your email settings. You can go here to view what your mail settings should be when using a Mac (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/configuring-comcast-email-mac), we hope this helps! If you still aren't able to send mail, please feel free to reply to us here. We may need to bring you into a Private Message but you can let us know here if you still need our help after checking these out.

Clicked 'ACTIVATE' on this link: https://xfinityconnect.email.comcast.net/resources/static/activate.html but it only got into the endless 3 dot spin. Not working.

Thanks for giving that link a try. Is this the only device that you are experiencing this issue on? If you login to your account directly through the website https://www.xfinity.com/overview and sign into your account, are you able to send directly through the website? 

I no longer work for Comcast.

I am able to send email from the xfinity website. My mail is configured correctly, yet the outgoing smtp link shows (OFFLINE). I deleted the account and re-added it using the Xfinity recommended configuration, and I am still able to RECEIVE email, but cannot SEND. Although the outgoing status shows smtp.comcast.net as (OFFLINE), the error I get when it fails say username/password problem. I confirmed the user name and password are correct, and match the user name and password that works for the receiving of email.

If you are able to send through the website the issue would be in the settings or firewall on the device itself. Especially since you are not having the issue on other devices. Have you attempted to contact Apple to see if they had any resolution to the issue that you are experiencing?
