Comcast Email Read Receipt Option Not Working
Just wondering why when I check off 'read receipt' option for an email I'm sending.....that option doesn't work for me.

Just wondering why when I check off 'read receipt' option for an email I'm sending.....that option doesn't work for me.

Read receipts only work if the receiving email software supports them (many webmail systems don't), and typically only if the recipient grants permission to send them (many users, like me, never do). Since you can't rely on Read receipts, consider including some version of "Please reply so I know you got this" with the message you send.

The far end might to have an option turned on to respond to a 'read receipt' request in the email.

I have tried sending it to my Yahoo email, and when I read it on my Yahoo, it doesn't send a 'email read' message back to my Comcast email.
