Comcast Email is not working on Iphone

As of yesterday, I’ve had issues getting my Comcast email on my iPhone. I’ve insured that the third-party setting is enabled. I’ve updated my password appropriately and I’ve even deleted the account and try to add but now that I’m trying to add, I keep getting the message that the service not responding or my username and/or password is incorrect, which I have validated is a fact correct; not sure if there are issues going on with the upcoming conversion to Yahoo Mail or this new security setting. However, as I said, I was able to get my emails no problem previously and As of yesterday, I have not been able to retrieve my emails and I’m only able to access it on the xfinity.com or my MacBook.  Can someone please help?!

I am having the same issues. Tried all the troubleshoot suggestions. Still there. Won’t let me read emails.

I finally got my Comcast email back. I have no clue what happened but after deleting and trying to add back what felt like 100 times, confirming it was on IMAP…. I finally have it back. Fingers crossed I don’t get the dreaded incorrect password message again.

good luck!

@XfinityQuemekia if you see their message they had to try it multiple times to get it to work.  I am having the same issue, have done all of the steps and no luck. I am not sure how Comcast thinks completely disrupting email, without any warning or communication is OK. Is the answer to keep deleting and reinstalling over and over until it works?

@user_qsa17 can I ask you what you are using for the incoming and outgoing address are.    I am using imap.Comcast.net and smtp.comcast.net.  Is that the same as yours?

@user_0tutc7 hi, yes that is the same. I found when I add the account the iPhone defaults to the POP server. I had to delete and when reinstalling use an incorrect password to get to the manual entry setting to then make sure I was under the IMAP server tab and re-enter my credentials. This has been very frustrating……. to COMCAST, I hope you see this and incorporate some lessons learned as you continue the transition to yahoo.
