Comcast Email Account

We are having issues with my wife's comcast email account. All mail previously in her Inbox is gone from 12/16/19 backwards. We are missing several hundred older emails that were stored in the Inbox. We only have a small amount of current mail.

 

Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

That happened to me also. I contacted Xfinity help and got no reply. (surprise?)

After a while I just assumed that maybe my cat walked on my keyboard and pressed some secret sequence that permanently deleted everything.  Nothing was in the trash folder. 

Sorry that I do not have a solution to share, but you are not alone.

As a precaution, I would change your password to something stronger than whatever it is right now, and also change your secret question and answer. Suddenly vanishing emails is a common sign of a malware infection or a compromised account. Run a complete scan of your machine with your A/V software to see if it finds anything wrong.


Also, do you have another device like a smartphone or tablet with the account enabled on it? If so it may be downloading and then deleting the messages from the server. Check all the settings in it to see if that's what's going on.  Then I would call Comcast security and see if they can look at the account----------------
