Comcast blocking Google mail servers, failing even with Comcast sending servers: When will you fix this?

Over the past three to four weeks, I have experienced a worsening problem.  Sometimes, I will never receive emails that were sent using a Goolge mail server.  Also, when I send mail from a Google server, sometimes a Comcast recipient will not receive it.  Examining the delivery failure messages indicates that Comcast is rejecting email from specific sets of Google servers.  Those may change from day to day.  The problem is intermittent because one never knows whether Comcast will reject the specific Google server selected to deliver the message.  Less frequently, I have even had emails recently fail from one Comcast account to another.

Let's get past the usual low-level issues.  These problems occur regardless of the email client used, the operating system used, or the mail protocol used.  That makes sense because the "lost" emails never show up on the Comcast server.  Apparently, others have experienced these problems as well.  This state of affairs is unacceptable.  Right now, it is the case that I never know if an email I send will be received at a Comcast address and I never know if an email sent to my own Comcast address will show up.  I repeat that other users, perhaps many, are also suffering with this poor service.

bell2200 - Thank you for your feedback and for joining us here on the Xfinity Forums. I understand how important it is to have reliable access to your email, and I'm happy to help troubleshoot. To better assist you, can you confirm whether you're accessing your email through Comcast.net, or have you received an invitation to transition to Yahoo Mail?

Thanks for your offer to help.  I am using comcast.net.  I would, perhaps, switch to Yahoo email, were it not for the fact that some features that are included with Comcast email are available only with Yahoo Mail Plus, which carries a fee of $5.00/month.  Automatic forwarding is one of those features.  As is often the case with other companies across many industries, the announcement of "better" service as a result of a change just doesn't ring true.  In any case, I shouldn't have to switch in order for you to fix what you broke.

Thank you.

I completely understand where you are coming from, and it certainly is not the experience we want for our customers @bell2200! We will document the feedback on our end, and I would recommend reaching out to Yahoo Mail directly to express the frustrations with the additional charges.

Thanks again.  I am YOUR customer.  YOU are sending me over to Yahoo.  I shouldn't have to beg them for the service YOU have been providing and for which I've paid.  That's something Comcast should have negotiated on their customers' behalf.

It seems that the main issue has been lost.  Your servers are behaving badly.  Will you fix it?

Thanks.
