collection harassment

I keep telling everyone I do not had a contract with Comcast/Xfinity and they keep sending me emails threatening me with collection. I am 80 years old and I paid my bill faithfully I returned my equipment and every single person I asked said I did not have a contract and now you are saying that I owe you for early termination.. Well take me to court because not only I do not have the money to pay you, I DID NOT HAVE A CONTRACT, and anyways you should pay me for all the times that I was without service or interruptions.

An early termination fee has nothing to do with your having paid your bills. You terminated a contract, which you did in fact agree to, when you accepted service through xfinity.  That contract was for a finite period of time.  You violated the contract (a legal term) by cancelling the contract before it's end date.  You are now required to pay the fees associated with the early termination of your contract.  It does not matter if what anyone told you verbally.  It does not matter if you did not read the agreement when you accepted service with xfinity.  I would suggest you take a few deep breaths, and realize that if you do not pay the early termination fees, you could be subjected to legal action, have a negative impact on your credit, and at the end of it all you could be liable for some very hefty court costs.  Hiring a lawyer will do you no good.  You had a contract, which you violated, hence the early termination fee.  You are legally obligated to pay it.  You have no recognizable defense in court.  I do not work for xfinity, never have. I am not defending their actions.  I am merely telling you that you do not have a legal defense to not pay the early termination fee.

Thanks for reaching out to us, I do apologize for any inconvenience.  If you're getting sent a collection bill showing you owe for early termination fees that means you originally agreed to a term agreement for a contract discounted rate. Which can be for one or two years. If you did not keep your services for the duration of the contract then your final bill you're assessed with the early termination fees. I'll be more than happy to look at your account and give you all the details and the correct expectations. To get started please send me a direct message including your name and complete service address

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send your message
