Changing Email Font

I know that there is supposed to be the ability to change the default font in email settings but even after chaging it, the beginning of a new email shows as Verdana 11pt not Arial 10pt as I want it to be.

I have gone into Email Settings, Compose and made the changes to Arial 10pt but when I next try to compoase an email, it still shows the Verdana 11pt font in the body of the email.

Can anyone assist.

Okay 2 things: 1. I changed to HTML and Plain text and signed out and back in but it is still showing as Verdana 11pt when I click to compose and email and not Arial 10pt as I changed it. 2. When I looked at my billtag account which is working okay, it was already set to HTML and Plain text. I was hoping that by changing the heatherwoodcommunications account the same it would resolve the issue but it did not. Obviously something else is off.

This is definitely going to have to be escalated, then.  I don't use webmail, but Thunderbird where this kind of stuff isn't an issue.  I am sorry I wasn't able to help resolve this.

I really do appreciate it when someone tries to help me but it becomes extremely frustrating when I see a question like yours. I have explained to a couple of people on this forum thread what is my issue with Comcast/Xfinity (call it what you like) email is, the inability on one of my accounts to set the default font and point size and have it stay when I then go to compose an email.

I have been told how to do it which I was already aware of and I think I have been pretty clear in describing the issue, so I really don't undersatnd why you are asking me "are you trying to change the font for your Xfinity email? "

If I am missing something in your query please let me know.

Just so we are clear. I login to the Comcast/Xfinity website and sign-in. Then I go to the email app.

My browser is Firefox.

Hi @billtagg, are you trying to change the font for your Xfinity email?

Thanks Latoque , settings/email/compose helped me a lot - I can't set the type to bold and italics ( but Comic Sans may already be italics) but your solution post is a big help !!

Ok. I have done the following directly ONLINE via my PC Browser: Set your default font in the account settings instead of in the Compose window.  On the Inbox page click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, then on Settings>>>>>Mail>>>>>>Compose.  There you will find the font settings including size.  16 pt is the max.  Then sign out of the account and back in again to make sure the changes "take."

BUT, the problem STILL being, doing everything as prescribed from the COMCAST END hoping it will have a trickle down effect, does nothing to make anything translate to my Samsung, One Stop Shop, Mail App on my phone that consolidates all my emails into one app whether it be from Gmail, Comcast, Outlook, or GMX or to my Windows 10 Mail that also, like the Samsung app, only on my PC instead, consolidates all emails into one easy to use desktop, one stop shop dynamic so I don't have to go online via my browser every single bloody time I want to check my email being both the Windows Mail one stop application & the Samsung Mail app keep you forever logged in. The Samsung Mail App being the worst of the two, however, as it keeps making the font default be Roboto 12 no matter how many times I try to change it to an alternate font that is size 14 instead. I went into the settings on my phone to where the Samsun app is for mail, & there is no place there either to, from the top down, make anything stick & take. GAH! Argh!
