Can't view or open WORD or EXCEL attachments

Can not view or open WORD or EXCEL attachments to my comcast e-mail account. PDFs and photographs (jpegs) are ok. Seems to be just MS products. This was not a problem until about 2 weeks ago. I can download the files but will still not allow me to open them. Upgraded to Windows 10 about 2 weeks ago.

Did you upgrade on the same computer?  Did you do a clean install of Windows 10, wiping everything off your computer?

You need to have Word and Excel on your computer in order to open those files.  If you have those two programs you will need to associate the files with the programs.

WORD and EXCEL are installed. I can create documents, edit, print, etc. using the computer with no problems.

I can have the identical file (WORD or EXCEL) sent to my work e-mail and my personal comcast account. I have no problems opening, editing, printing, sending, etc. the files when sent to my work e-mail. However, I can't open the same file when sent to comcast.

You need to contact Microsoft for a fix for those programs.  We don't solve problems for non-Comcast products.
