Can’t reset password for comcast email

I have an old comcast email account from 15 years ago that I have used daily.  Yesterday when I tried to log in, it said that they occasionally ask for passwords to be reset for security precautions.  However, it will not let me reset the password.  It just keeps telling me to reset when I try to reset it.  I have so many things tied to this account and really would like to get back into it.  I tried to call about it, but since it is no longer tied to an account number, they can’t help me.
