Can’t access email filter rules from phone

I have an iPhone XR and routinely log into my email through the website when I have spam that I need to get rid of. I have email filter rules in place and need to add to it BUT when I touch the gear icon, the email filter rule option is not available. Switching from mobile to desktop views on my phone does nothing. I can however log into my email from my laptop and the option is available. Having to do this is a major pain because it’s easier to do it on my phone.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Hello, @titanicnut. Thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums for support, you have contacted the right place for assistance in regard to the spam filter. I used my phone, went to xfinity.com, signed in, went to check my emails. There will be a gear icon in the right top corner, I went to advanced settings, and was able to see spam filtering options: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/spam-filters-and-email-blocking-new-experience.

If you haven't tried, I would recommend clearing cache and cookies on your phone or pull up an incognito window and attempt.

@XfinityJustinC when I open advance settings the only options that are available to me are check boxes. I have also cleared cookies and browser history but that doesn’t change anything either. Also, nothing changes when I request desktop site on my phone.

I am accessing it through the Xfinity website on my iPhone. The only way I can access the email filters as if I log in using my laptop.

@titanicnut, how long would you say it has been since you were able to make these same changes using the same device? Also, is your device currently updated to the latest iOS software?

Note that the OP is NOT looking for the "spam filtering options" under Advanced Settings, they are looking for Email Filters. When I open Connect settings on my Android phone running Chrome in "normal" mode, the Filter Rules option simply does not show up:

"Advanced Settings" contains only the usual "Safe List", "POP Settings", and "Spam Filtering" options.

"Filter Rules" only shows up if I turn on Chrome's "Desktop site" mode, but it's is essentially unusable on such a small screen:

Yes that function seems to be missing when using an iPhone
