Cannot use smtp.comcast.net as an outgoing mailserver for my private domain
I'm trying to use Comcast's SMTP server to send out my private domain email. I am assuming that if I can log into the Xfinity website and view my Comcast Webmail I should be able to use my Outlook Client to send email authenticated by that same username/password. Email configuration setup is correct per their configuration info. Is there something I need to do to allow the ability to send email? Something I need to activate?

Unfortunately, Forum security software "ate" the email address you posted.
Please see https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/cannot-connect-with-smtp-outbound-server/6377f10cb768a260608d48d2?commentId=63e5362165f3ed11c94e4003. Despite the second example in that post, I find that if, for example, the email I send has a "From:" address of "user1(at)comcast.net", client programs and apps must be configured so that when they authenticate to the server to send that message they must do so using that same username: "user1(at)comcast.net". IOW, the "From:" address user ID and the Authenticating user ID should match. They added this requirement a some months ago.

"Cannot use" doesn't tell us much. What, exactly, is the problem you are having? Any error messages or codes?
Also it isn't clear what you mean by "use Comcast's SMTP server to send out my private domain email". Could you describe what you are trying to do and what problem you are encountering in a bit more detail? Note that the Forum doesn't allow posting of email addresses, and if you post images there will be a delay as they need to be approved by an Employee before they will be generally visible.

When I configure my Outlook client for my personal domain name like [Edited: "Personal Information"] email address ( not rated xxx of course ) I configure the outgoing mailserver to smtp.comcast.net w/ 587 or 465 SSL / StartTSL etc and check off use this login for SMTP email authentication. I put in my Comcast username/email address and password and go to test the email and the password box reappears like it's a bad account/password. There's no other error as it doesn't go beyond that window. I've also tried this at another business I support and they could not configure their Outlook Client either. Password box just keeps popping back up. That help?
