The emails from @gmail.com are slowly trickling into my comcast inbox...no idea what happened/change on the comcast end.

My gmail emails have been slowly appearing in my comcast inbox as well.  A possible scenario is someone with a gmail email account sent out lots of spam yesterday causing xfinity to automatically block the domain. This morning they unblocked gmail and are slowly releasing the emails that were blocked. All seems well, again.

The issue has been resolved by Comcast.  Someone blocked the @@gmail.com domain for all xfinity users.  The block has been removed

Hey there, @user_0c705c. Thank you for creating this post. I am sorry to hear that you are not receiving emails being sent to you. Did you receive any errors when trying to send the emails? Also, have you checked any other folders such as spam or folders you created to verify if the emails were sent there?

How to cancel google & gmail & use only comcast

Offhand I have no idea how you would cancel your Google account/Gmail.  I'm sure there is a way, or I would hope there is a way, but I can't find one.  To be honest, you should keep your Gmail account and your Google account because you use the Google account in many places across the internet.  So, just start using your @comcast.net account.
