Cannot download email from Comcast server

I got a message to update my password. I logged on to Xfinity via my browser on my desktop and changed my password. I can now log in to my account and read my email from my desktop. I have confirmed this using both Chrome and Firefox.


I get an error message from Apple Mail and from my iPhone:

"Can't connect to the account "Comcast". Enter the password for *user*"

But when I enter the same password that lets me log in via a browser, Apple Mail simply says it cannot verify my account at Comcast.

What's going on? How do I fix this?

Hi there, @user_9305e4, thank you for taking the time to reach out to us through our Xfinity Forums. I understand you are experiencing issues with accessing your mail on your Apple products. Have you attempted to remove mail acccount and then re-add it using the new password?
