Can not access email.

I have a comcast email that I am trying to access for the first time to set up a claim for a lost device, when I go through the Xfinity site and click on "Check Email" it brings me to https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/account-email-information. When I use the email status customer.xfinity.com/settings/xid/uidemail it says my comcast email and says the email is also my user name, and gives me two options 1. Go to Inbox and 2. Make this preferred. When I select the Go to Inbox I just get taken back to "https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/account-email-information".  I am using a web browser (OperaGX) if that helps
